Revolution Sound Studios
When Mortal Music decided to rebrand, they leaned into the history of their Charlestown, MA location.Situated near the famed Bunker Hill, they chose Revolution Sound Studios as a new name but needed a visual identity to represent the personality of the studio and the talented folks working there.

Initial sketches featured symbols of the American Revolution and 18th century typestyles with elements of audio gear. Some had more modern patriotic themes.

Eventually, we settled on an approach that would help reference the vast collection of vintage equipment that made the studio a go to for audiophiles looking for that unique sound.

Using the UV meter from one of their classic pre-amps and the Bunker Hill monument as its needle, the final logo brought the 1960’s Hi-Fidelity vibes while still paying homage to the location’s importance in the country’s independence.
